I have used the Canopus Grass Valley Canopus ADVC110 Digital Video Converter when Firewire was not an option. The Black Magic Intensity works fine as well. I have to stream a large company meeting once a year. Two weeks before the event I update all the software and purchase a streaming service. It does take a little research and trial and error to get set up for streaming video, but once you know the basics, you can offer it on almost any live production since most locations have internet access.

Good info to know, Jan! Too bad firewire connections are going away, but I still have my lil Canon HV20 that can be used in a pinch.
