Ben, I enjoyed reading your article in September's EventDV edition for the Final Cut Pro Tutorial on Cut Lines - Time Remapping for Constant Speed. I read the Part 1 article and understood a little better the technique for applying constant speed. I recently completed a music video using this technique (see www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TDi98q88J0). What I can't wait for is the Variable-Speed technique in your Part 2 article as I was struggling how to use this effect to apply regular-to-sped-up transition effects for the video. Reading FCP's Help on this effect was very confusing and I just could not figure it out with the deadline for completing my video that was needed. I can't wait to read next month's article on the Variable-Speed method. Maybe I'll have a chance to redo the music video and apply this technique. Thanks, Brad Jefferson
