The HMC150 handheld records stunning high definition video onto solid-state SD cards in four recording modes, with the PH mode offering the highest quality. Prior to this announcement, Final Cut Pro only supported the HMC150’s HG, HA and HE modes, which encompassed 1080i recording. The new FCP 6.0.5 update also adds editing support for 720 60/30/24p formats and 1080 30/24p in addition to 1080i. “We are pleased that Apple now supports the additional capabilities that the PH recording mode provides,” said Michael Bergeron, Strategic Technology Liaison, Panasonic Broadcast. “Initial sales of the HMC150 have been outstanding, and now these owners can realize the full capabilities of Final Cut Pro with the exceptional quality and flexibility provided by the HMC150.” For more information on the AG-HMC150 and other AVCCAM products, visit www.panasonic.com/avccam.
