Expo programming will also feature special seminars in Spanish for Hispanic attendees--including After Effects training and new wedding and event video creativity," said John Zale, WEVA's Director of Educational Development.
Manufacturers such as Adobe, Sony, Canopus, JVC, and others will exhibit to present cutting-edge solutions for shooting and editing wedding and event work, including new technology (and new short-cuts) for speeding-up workflow. The first-ever, "EXPO Financing Program" announced earlier means videographers planning to attend WEVA Expo 2006 will have a money-saving alternative to "all cash up front" transactions at the Expo. "
At 10:30 am on Monday, August 21, the first day of the show, WEVA will be hold a special 90-minute orientation for first-time EXPO attendees. Also, on Monday afternoon, in addition to WEVA's optional pre-convention workshops, Adobe Systems will be providing free instruction for videographers on its new and powerful Production Studio editing software from 1pm-5:30pm. This special extended training session is free to registered WEVA Expo attendees who sign-up in advance.
With registration now open online, the day-by-day schedule of workshops and all WEVA Expo 2006 programs and activities will be posted soon. This year, videographers are invited to bring popular camcorders to WEVA Expo to participate in special tech sessions called "Camera Clinics." The sessions, which will repeat during the expo, will provide hands-on training in specific camera operations, including how to customize camera settings for optimum results.
The 16th annual WEVA Expo will officially open at 5:30 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 at Mandalay Bay and conclude by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2006. A new slate of pre-convention workshops will be held Monday afternoon starting at 12:30 p.m. At this year's Expo, videographers can take the written exam for WEVA Merited Professional Videographer (MPV) accreditation. Details will be announced shortly.
