The Lagniappe on the Bayou, a two-day event co-hosted by Terry Taravella and Julian St. Pierre of Studio Vieux Carre, assembles such seasoned videographer educators as Lance Gray, Russ Jolly, and Brian Gunn of PixelPops Design (topic: "The Impact of Image and Imagination"); Mark and Trisha Von Lanken of Picture This Productions ("The Art of Cinematic Shooting"); and Alex and Julie Hill of Elysium Productions ("Music and Concept Video"). Located at the Omni New Orleans and including a tour and banquet, the Lagniappe on the Bayou runs June 28-29. Registration is still open.
4EVER Group Director of Education Tim Ryan is presenting "The Value of Video" next week to the Tennessee Event Videographers Association. The meeting will be held June 27 at the Glen Oaks Clubhouse in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The meeting marks the a milestone in a concerted effort to put the association back on a regular meeting schedule.
Finally, the schedule is set for the 4EVER Group's Seattle Video Summit, scheduled for July 10 at the Lynnewood Convention Center in Lynnewood, Washington. Presenters include LaDonna Moore ("Creating the Ultimate Demo Reel"), Lucy Galbraith ("Business First--Videography Second), and Steve and Laura Moses ("Stylized Filming & Editing: Love Stories, Highlights & Trailers").
