Among the products Datavideo showcased at NAB 2006 in Las Vegas was its two-camera and one-background input chroma key model DVK-100. The DVK-100 was one of several Datavideo products demo'd in "real-world scenarios" during NAB in Las Vegas. The company placed a motorcycle with a side car in front of a green screen and offered rides in Japan, Taipei, and on the Strip. Riders viewed themselves on a TLM-700 monitor so they could coordinate their action with the background. Input from the camera and the different recorded backgrounds were combined in the DVK-100.

Designed for educational, business, and religious producers, the DVK-100 simplifies a complicated process and delivers very good results even with a simple lighting setup, according to Datavideo.

The DVK-100, which carries a $1200 MSRP, accepts Y/C (S-Video) and Composite video. For best results, S-Video is recommended. For users with DV cameras, the DAC-100 converter ($199 MSRP) will convert DV to S-Video. As with all Datavideo products, the DVK-100 is available for a two-week free trial directly from Datavideo Corporation in Whittier, California.

Announced in late March, the DVK-100 is shipping now.
