Coming Up Next in the FilmFellas Webisodic Series on Wedding Filmmaking, Zacuto Films presents "Cast Five: The Epic Wedding"
Posted Aug 13, 2009

Continuing the discussion on the changing landscape of wedding videography/wedding filmmaking, the cast five filmmakers focus on the role of the wedding cinematographer and the craft of creating a new genre of wedding films with full-scale productions, scripted-concept shoots, non-linear editing and wedding-day edits. Once again, Steve Weiss, Director of FilmFellas, who started his own film career from 1981 to 1984 by making what was then called, wedding videos, returns to the table along with three exceptional FilmFellas cast members who lively discuss wedding filmmaking and the event video/film industry.

FilmFellas Cast Five: "The Epic Wedding," is set to release August 12th and will focus on the dichotomy of artistic expression in producing cinematic wedding films vs. the traditional, moment-by-moment, rendition of that perfect day. True to his craft, Kevin Shahinian (Pacific Pictures), describes his passion for creating wedding concept films, such as his "Bollywood Wedding" which showcases a real-life bride & groom with full re-enactments of meeting, falling in love, dating and courtship. Patrick Moreau (Still Motion Photo + Cinema), a cinematographer in the wedding film industry, offers his perspective on non-linear editing and the dramatic effect of same-day/on-location edits. Finishing out the cast, Ron Dawson (Dare Dreamer Media), a social media maverick and a producer of wedding videos, discusses his business approach to wedding videography. FilmFellas Cast Five Webisodes: Aug 12, Sept 16, Oct 14, Nov 18 & Dec 16, 2009.
