Advanced Media, Inc., a subsidiary of RITEK Corporation, announced the addition of new 16X DVD+R discs to its RIDATA brand lineup of recordable media. The new discs will be available through selected retailers, RIDATA distributors, and various online outlets in September.

The write-once 16X DVD+R RIDATA disc has a 4.7GB capacity and capability for multimedia recording. In terms of speed, the 16X disc spins at 180 rotations per second in 16X-capable recorders operating at maximum speed. The medium uses premium organic dyes for recording all types of data, and conforms to DVD specifications for recordable disc v2.0 (4.7GB). Additionally, the disc features single formatting for both video and data storage, constant linear data density, long archival and storage life, a low recording error rate, and low jitter, according to Advanced Media. A limited lifetime warranty is also included on all RIDATA media.
