Discrete Technologies Launches SecureDisc 1.1
Posted Nov 12, 2004

Discrete Technologies has released the latest version of SecureDisc. SecureDisc allows organizations to control access to sensitive, confidential, proprietary, or classified information stored on CD and DVD media. SecureDisc compliant with such information privacy mandates as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and Gramm-Leach-Bliley. SecureDisc may be used with authoring software and recorders to encrypt and automatically write ISO and UDF images to CD and DVD. Once recorded, an encrypted disc is accessible only by SecureDisc client decryption software and the correct password. Rather than encrypting files and folders, SecureDisc encrypts at the raw format level using the 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption algorithm.

Pricing for SecureDisc is based on a per-server, rather than per-seat, basis.
